The KRIS POHLMANN BAND (KPB) was founded in the summer of 2005 by the English born German singer songwriter guitarist Kris Pohlmann. The band made an immediate impact on the German blues scene by winning the prestigious German Rock & Pop Award as ‘Best Rhythm & Blues Band’ 2006.
Following the release of their debut CD ‘Heavy Pain’ in early 2007 the band cemented their reputation as a high energy live act by playing throughout Germany and supporting artists such as Eric Gales and Nine Below Zero along the way. In 2007 the band won another German Rock & Pop award providing the blues rock power trio with further recognition of their ability and potential. With parallels drawn with the likes of Rory Gallagher, Mark Knopfler, Jeff Healey and SRV the press reviews have been unanimous in their praise for the band.
