Recording Diary: Day 5 – Frustrating Guitar Day!!!!
Hi People!
Kris here again and what a day I’ve had. I’ve been working on the guitar parts. The additional rhythm parts, little guitar licks and lines are all coming along nicely and the songs are starting to really take on a more polished, layered feel. I laid down a total of 6 different guitar parts for the tune “Only One Heart” and when I come to record “I’ll Come Around” I will end up doing the same… layered, fat sound!
Warren came in and laid down a new bass line for “Only One Heart” and the video you can see HERE. He also came up with a new “walking” bass line for “Feel The Same” and recorded these both within 3-4 takes! The guy’s a legend. I however took over 50 takes to do the solo in “Just Can’t Make It On My Own” and I was getting pretty angry at that!
