The photo shoot for the NEW RESOLUTION CD, Tour and promotion took place yesterday in the famous Les Halles club in Düsseldorf. This restaurant-cafe-club is well renowned and the “Funky Friday” party a real hit with the locals. Although we’ve only seen a few previews we reckon Petra Warrass our photographer took some great photos and we had a great time playing top models for the day. And of course we had a real laugh too. Next week we can start finalising the cover art for the CD! We’re on schedule for a November/December release.
Now as this is still a loooog way away, we thought we would treat you loyal KPBers to a previews of new songs from the CD. Every few weeks we’ll preview a new song in full length. The first song will be “I’ll Come Around”. And not just that… we’ve made a video for the song too. So, on the 1st September, right here on the KPB official website you’ll be able to see that video! The songs are recorded. The CD mixed and mastered. The music side of the project is now finished. NEW RESOLUTION is ready for delivery, well almost. There is still a lot of work to do before the CD is released.
Firstly, on the 25th August we’re having a brand new photo shoot at a very cool, stylish location in Düsseldorf. I’m not going to say where in case 100s of screaming teenage girls storm the place. The photos will not only be used for the CD but also for posters, flyers, press releases and of course the website. Petra Warrass is our chosen photographer and we’re aiming for stylish band and portrait photos. We’re changing our image towards a more commercial approach, after all we want to hit the big time! NEW RESOLUTION has been mastered by the vastly experienced Kai Blankenberg from SkyLine Studios. With references that include Die Toten Hosen, Madsen, Sportfreunde Stiller, Silbermond and Juli and with Gold Discs hanging on the walls of the studio, we knew we’re in good hands! The music side of the project is done! We’ll release the tracklisting and CD details very soon.
Now it’s all about the packaging (CD Design, Cover Art, Photos), promotion (Video, Posters, Flyers, Press Releases) and the little issue of organising the tour. Check out the blog for all the lowdown on what we’re currently up to and stay tuned for details of the CD release and tour start party…
