New CD Update
We’re about to record the new CD!
We will be spending the whole of June recording and mixing the CD in a top studio in our home town of Düsseldorf. Having spent a few months looking at various studios we’ve finally found the right place! We will be recording this CD differently to the way we recorded Heavy Pain back in 2005. For at start we’re going to be taking our time to record the album! We’re also using a technician & producer team that’s worked with everyone from Robert Cray and Robben Ford to Level 42 and even Fettes Brot. In addition we’ll be inviting a number of guests to record with us including a keyboardist, a complete brass section and a female vocalist. We’re aiming for a big sounding production that will hit the shops in the autumn.
During the final preparations and recording we’ll set up a site where you can follow the “making of” the album. There’ll be blogs, videos and sneak previews of the songs. So, what can you expect from the CD? Good question! Those of you who have been to our gigs during the last year will recognise some of the songs from our set. There’ll be some typical KPB Blues/Rock songs. I have especially written 2 very radio oriented songs for the CD. One is an R’n’B tune and the other is a Pop/Rock song that has received awesome feedback amongst my “test listeners”. We’re really excited about this CD!
